Two very common questions for Healthcare Providers are; 1) the status of a member's claim and 2) the member's eligibility for coverage. When automated though an IVR self-service application Providers can simply call the number on the member's chart and find out exactly what the status of their claim is: Received, in process, paid or pending further information. This allows the provider to know when to expect payment, or to contact the insurance company to provide missing information to have the claim paid. When checking a member's eligibility for benefits the self-service application will process information such as insured's coverage, co-payments, eligibility, and other member information.
